| How has history affected your life? | | Well the history of Europe in the 1880's has affected my life. That is because the Cossacks ran through the Jewish villages and made everyone leave. This is why one set of my great-grandparents went to America.
Another great-grandfather had heard that the sidewalks of America were paved with Gold, so he went from Moscow to Pittsburgh.
Another left in 1865 to help fight for the South in Macon, Georgia.
Another set came from Warsaw, Poland and settled in a small town in Pennsylvania. So, my family were all in the United States by the time Hitler came to power. I'm sure some relatives perished in the Holocaust,but by that time no one was in contact with them and I didn't even have the chance to find out what the names were before they were changed to live in America. | | How well do you know your family history? | | Wow I thought I knew my family history very well but I just talked to a distant aunt the other day and I learned something new about my dads bloodline. And here I thought my relatives on his side of the family lived long and healthy lives my last Aunt died at 103 years old....But, truthfully I found out that sure they live long lives but a majority have died from Cancer:( That was tough news for me...Have you ever learned something new about your family history? Maybe you have a famous Aunt or even six generations of the same ailment, we all need to know.... | |

| Do you believe history repeats itself? | | I taught history when I was still in a private school. We had discussed different events that happened in the past. We also tackled various leaders who made an impact on one's country. I realized that somehow history repeats itself, especially when it deals with leaders and the society they governed. One good example is the People Power I during Marcos regime. It happened again during Estrada's administration. the world War I which also happened again and a lot more unforgettable events that made our history.What about you? After leading the goal scorer almost for the whole season, Wayne Rooney finally has to pass the top scorer award to Didier Drogba on the last day of the championship. Didier Drogba also has to leave the English Premier League games because he is involve in African Cup of Nations for a month in January. | I wonder how it feels to study the history of a colonizing country | | I came from the Philippines wherein the history is all about how our heroes fought for our freedom against the colonizers. We've studied the different causes of revolt and how these revolts accumulated into a revolution. Now I wonder what the difference in history between a colonizing country like France, Spain, America, etc. and a colonized country is. the chennai team under the cool captaincy of dhoni continues as the most consitent team as the IPL is concerned.They are the 2 time finalist and 1 semifinal team.In the first edition of IPL CSK reached the finals and unfortunately they lost to the rajasthan royals.In the second edition too they enterd semi and in semi they lost to bangalore.now in the third edition they are in the final once again, Dhoni will not make a mistake this time. they will fight against the most consistent team of this season in the finals.
